Winemaking Criteria

Both grapes Grolleau and Gamay were harvested separately, but on one day : October 4th 2016. Delicate and reasonable extraction of the color and the aromas was made through a soft pressing program.

Meticulous settlings and temperature controlled fermentations were made to enhanced juices potentials: aromas, structure, and color. Elevage was adapted to a spring release: a fresh and delightful wine.

A Sensory Experience

The pale salmon robe shows some slightly orange hues. The nose delivers nice ripe and cooked redberry aromas, sign of a great ripeness of the red grapes. Its complexity is revealed through a great orange touch.

The mouth is smooth and perfectly well balanced. It combines a nice sweet body and a typical intensity of an Anjou Loire Valley Wine. Much like the nose, the mouth develops complex cooked redberry aromas, slightly caramelized.

Served at a 5 - 6°C (41 to 43°F), our Rosé d’Anjou will perfectly fit Spring and Summer aperitives, and match:

  • melons with redberries and country ham
  • spicy cuisine (Creole, West Indian, Madagascan, Asian, Indian…)
  • redberry desserts (strawberry, raspberry, chery), fruit salads, ice cream, cakes…
